TBS Buffer with Tween-20 for Western Blot and IHC/IF experiments

Properties:  

- 100 mM Tris, 1.5 M NaCl and 1% Tween-20

- 10X concentration

- dilute 1:10 in distilled water. Mix before using.

Application: SDS PAGE gel  

Packaging: 500mL

Storage: room temperature (2-30°C)

Shelf life: 12 months

Note: Immediately use after dissolving. After this product is diluted into 1× working solution, it should be stored at 4°C and used within one week. 

Description:

TBS with Tween-20, is an isotonic buffer salt solution consisting of:

- Tris-HCl, which constitutes a stable pH buffer system

- NaCl, which provides isotonic conditions

- Tween-20, which is a detergent 

TBST buffer is mainly used in Western Blot experiments to wash off non-specifically bound antibodies and other reagents of the membrane. The buffer can also be applied in the preparation of blocking solutions, the preparation of primary and secondary antibodies as well as the preparation of primary or secondary antibodies in experiments such as IHC/IF.
